Frampton, Quigg , Rigondeux and the Super bantamweight Division as a whole.
Really Exciting division this , if you asked me six months ago , i would have said that Rigondeux beats Frampton all day long , may still be the case , but the more i see of Frampton the more i think pound for pound he's right up there.

I really rate Quigg as well, but i think frampton wins , and then the fight with rigo comes along , but there could be fights with Donaire or leo Cruz before that happens.

Anyway my point is , Rigondeux is probably my favorite fighter out there, he's brilliant to watch , the way he moves , quick as you like , someone said its like he fights in the matrix as he keeps his distance so well , but the more i see of Frampton , he might have a chance , i dunno , i just really hope it happens ...

I would swap Mayweather pacquiao to watch that , and i cant wait for mayweather pacquiao!!!

Anyway , who the you rate as the best in this division and why ... ??

Good thread.
Great division at the moment.
Styles suggest to me that Frampton would have a better (but only 30% imo)chance with Rigondeux than Quigg.
Hopefully 2 fascinating, high class fights to enjoy in the next couple of years

Was actually going to start a thread on Frampton myself after his win against Avalos. Now, I don't say this lightly, he could be one of the very best fighters ever out of the British isles, the lad has got it all, and for me, he beats Quigg pretty easily. Would be a decent fight, but absolutely no doubt who the winner is.

Rigondeaux is a completely different matter, the man is a freak of nature, fucking frightening how fast he is. I reckon Frampton is the only man with a chance against him, if I had to bet everyone I own, I'd still go Rigondeaux, but don't write off Frampton.

Good morning ed, I think you are getting carried away. Best ever British fighters? Calm down, son.

Rigondeaux is technically brilliant but an absolute snooze fest to watch.

Bit unfair that Abner Mares has not got a mention

Yes.

Well let's start with Calzaghe. Personally not my cup of tea as his slapping style was painful to watch but he fought top fighters and surely you are not saying Frampton will compare.

Re: Frampton, Quigg , Rigondeux and the Super bantamweight Division as a whole.
Exactly. Hardly a plethora when you actually think about it, is there? I'd say exactly the same thing about Calzaghe, I think he got lucky in a couple of fights, and with the age the top fighters were when he fought them (Kesler aside) and wasn't a fan of the slapping, but you can't argue with his record. I'd probably say Lennox Lewis over him, if you can truly say he is British.

I'm telling you now, Frampton is the real deal, and I genuinely think he'll go down as one of the best. Rigondeaux is the only man at the weight who gives him real trouble.

Leo Santa Cruz would destroy Frampton

Not for me, Fingers.

We'll see though, it will happen.

Frampton is only going to get better. I think he will go onto dominate.

Calzaghe was a class act he would piss all over the super middleweights now. Andre Ward wouldnt get away with the shoulder roll with so many fast punches coming from all angles.

I loved calzaghe and he'd have been a top boxer in most eras. hardest slapper in history

Ward beats Calzaghi , and GGG beats him as well out of the current crop, i know he's not a super middle yet , but its only a matter of time.

Ward beats GGG as well but that will be a great fight. styles make fights, and they have the opposing styles to make a great fight..

i would love to see Thurman v Canello as well before canello moves up, Think thurman will dominate the division after floyd goes ,

Hes good but a slow starter I've heard. Its only after the fourth that FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE.

I never realised how good he was untill the Avalos fight , i saw somwething diffeent in him ,he's an intense fighter , he was never going to lose , But Rigo is so slick , but he does get caught , it would be a great battle ...
